5 Statement-Making Minotti Sofas for Modern Homes

best minotti sofas

When choosing sofas – nothing matters more than quality and design which is why we highly recommend Minotti sofas. These sofas are all about luxury and high-end craftsmanship – and this is evidently visible across the brands entire range.

We’ll start by talking about design as Minotti sofas are most popular for their sleek yet contemporary aesthetics. Whether you prefer modern lines or a classic touch, Minotti has something for you. Their designs are incredibly versatile, fitting seamlessly into various interior styles.

Comfort is another critical factor when choosing sofas and of course, Minotti sofas offer exceptional comfort.

The cushions are plush yet supportive. Whether you’re hosting a party or lounging with a book, Minotti sofas provide the perfect seating experience. Each piece is crafted to ensure maximum relaxation.

Durability is another key factor and you can be assured of this as Minotti uses only the finest materials. From premium leather to high-quality fabrics, their sofas are built to last. So investing in a Minotti sofa means investing in a piece of furniture that will stand the test of time.

But poor craftsmanship can destroy even the best materials which is why Minotti gives special attention to detail. Every stitch, every seam, is meticulously executed. This dedication to quality ensures that each sofa is a work of art.

Finally, one of the best reasons to keep revisiting Minotti;  they offer unlimited customisation options. Whether we talk about the leather or fabric upholstery or the finishes of the wood and metal structures – you can choose from multiple options to create the perfect sofa for your space.

Choosing a Minotti sofa means choosing quality and sophistication for your home but if you’re unsure which sofa to consider, we’ve listed below 5 of our personal favourites from the brand:

1 – White Sofa

Minotti’s White sofa introduced a new architecture to the sofa industry with its unique structure and proportions. Its aesthetic is defined by the repetitive overlapping of horizontal lines, creating a distinct pattern – further enhanced by the use of unique materials.

The base of the White sofa can be upholstered in fabric, leather, or saddle hide and on this base, seat backs, cushions, and tray tops are arranged, forming an intriguing interplay of shapes and alternating spaces.

The sofa stands on Pewter-colored die-cast aluminum feet, set at a 45° angle, adding flair to even the larger compositions. For added comfort, the cushions are padded with a deeper layer of goose down, making them luxuriously soft and creating a pleasant contrast to the sleek sofa base.

A standout feature of the White seating system is the option to add tray tops in place of armrests, or along the seatback, allowing for highly functional compositions.

2 – Tape Cord Outdoor Sofa

The Tape collection was introduced by Minotti in 2018 and since then it has continued to evolve and include many other outdoor pieces.

All the new items in the collection retain the elegance of the original design while adding modern features that make it perfect for outdoor living. The seats, for example, are now deeper and larger, offering more relaxation. Similarly, the metal frame now comes in an outdoor finish and is covered with wicker-effect cords available in two colours: Mud and Liquorice.

There are many signature detailings of this sofa that instantly catch the eye – such as the ribbon-like element holding the feet to the body or how it transforms into a Bronze-colored metal plate. This finish is a consistent feature across all outdoor seats in this Collection.

The system includes a variety of elements, ideal for creating cosy relaxation areas even in small outdoor spaces or urban rooftop terraces. From the armchair to the sofa, the chaise longue to the unique couch, from chairs to coffee tables, and even a stool available in two heights (102 and 115 cm).

The structure features backrests and armrests in tubular stainless steel, varnished in a glossy, anti-fingerprint Bronze finish. The metal frame is wrapped in wicker-effect braided fibre, available in Mud and Licorice. The seat is wooden, with elastic webbing and variable-density polyurethane foam.

The cushions are crafted from high-resilience polyurethane foam and water-repellent, eco-friendly viscose fibre. To protect the padding from water and moisture, all cushions are covered in water-repellent polyester fabric. All accessories, including hinges and yarn, are waterproof, making them suitable for outdoor use.

Cushion upholstery covers are fully removable, and the base and legs are made of stainless steel with a glossy, anti-fingerprint Bronze finish. The feet are adjustable, and the black polyethene glides offer protection.

3 – Hamilton Sofa

Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, the Hamilton sofa brings together elegance, uniqueness, and innovation – capturing the timeless essence of Minotti’s design.

This extensive range of modular seating systems offers exceptional flexibility and customisation options, allowing us to create the most unique compositions.

With its minimal linear design, compact volumes, and a distinctive metal base that is close to the floor, Hamilton has achieved worldwide acclaim since its debut in 2004. The unmistakable base, acting like a frame outlining the perimeter, has become a signature Minotti feature, appearing in various forms and finishes, setting a trend in the furniture industry.

The Hamilton family continues to evolve, driven by Minotti’s relentless study of function, ergonomics, and materials. This ongoing innovation reflects the brand’s strong tailoring tradition, deeply rooted in its DNA.

The collection includes three versions: Hamilton, Hamilton Sofà, and Hamilton Modulo, so you can choose one that best suits your style.

Over the years, Hamilton has become an icon, fitting perfectly in both traditional and modern living spaces, thanks to its modular flexibility and extensive upholstery options. This system is designed to adapt to contemporary lifestyles, accommodating a range of functions in living areas, from relaxing and working to entertaining and conversation.

4 – Roger Sofa

The Roger seating system embodies an open design tailored to suit the most unique spaces.

This site-specific installation is crafted with imagination and personalised style, offering exceptional versatility to meet a wide range of layout and use requirements. Its eclectic character caters to various tastes, providing endless design solutions.

Roger’s soft volumes, sophisticated upholstery, and meticulous craftsmanship all symbolise Minotti’s signature touch. The system includes three types of elements:

  • Roger Suite, featuring a cushioned seat with a depth of 101 cm
  • Roger Spring, a monobloc seat of the same depth with internal pocket springs ensuring shape retention and a fully quilted surface
  • Roger Spring Sofà, an armless version with a depth of 94 cm.

These elements can be further customised with high and low backrests, different armrest styles, and additional components functioning as tops and containers, extending at the back or next to the seat. This super system offers countless configurations for both residential and hospitality spaces.

Roger’s base is made of profiled aluminium with a Black Coffee-colored varnished finish, supporting the padded elements and Case volumes. These volumes come in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, open-pore Black lacquered ash veneer, or lacquered finishes in Ice, Cappuccino, or Moka, featuring a front or side open storage compartment lined with Brandy-colored satin-finish aluminum. Two cross blades in Black Coffee-colored varnished aluminium elevate the seats 13 cm above the floor, creating an airy aesthetic.

Our favourite part is the couture-like craftsmanship that is evident in the graphic quilting effect, with long horizontal lines running along the backrests, seating elements, and matching benches, giving the surfaces a luxurious, super-soft feel.

5 – Connery Sofa

The Connery seating system is contemporary, boasting a strong architectural appeal and pure lines that echo the Mid-Century American spirit. Its exquisite aesthetic and design immediately catch the eye. The clever combination of fine materials and sophisticated details lends a couture touch to its design.

Connery is an extremely versatile seating system, both in terms of composition and material combinations. Its distinctive personality shines through the pairing of original square and round chaise-longues. The geometric rigor of the base contrasts strikingly with the softness of the seat, which is conceived as a single cushion punctuated by light stitching that defines the seat’s width – 83 or 68 cm. The backrest and armrest structure, covered in channelled goose down padding, forms a single volume with a 45° split in the corner.

The padded structural base can feature fabric covering or strips of leather, crafted with techniques used in fine leather luggage-making. High-end leather goods concepts are evident in the headrests and elegant “C”-shaped Flap surfaces, seamlessly blending into the seating elements and adding a vibrant rhythm to the compositions.

The structural base is raised from the ground on thin blades of extruded aluminum with a Brandy polished varnished finish, positioned at the front. This design gives the sofa an appealing, airy look and recalls the metal parts of trunks and suitcases. The Flap shelves reiterate the strip design of the base, providing functional, stylish surfaces for placing objects. These shelves, covered in leather or Moka ash veneer, harmoniously complement the covering textures.

The leather bands of the structural base are sewn together with straps and accented by stitching that adds rhythm to the design – all crafted with the same technique used in fine leather luggage-making. This concept of high-end leather goods also inspires the freely adjustable headrests.

The Connery range is well-structured and customisable, offering many compositional options. In addition to longer square chaise-longues, the collection includes circular elements that can be positioned near the sofa as atolls, enhancing its versatility and aesthetic appeal.
